First and foremost, I am a songwriter and pianist influenced by a mix of secular and Christian artists and songwriters including Billy Joel, Elton John, Ray Charles, Jim Brickman, Diane Warren, Michael W. Smith, Big Daddy Weave, Chris Tomlin, and Phil Wickham. I create music that blends heartfelt melodies with faith-driven messages. My passion for songwriting has led to meaningful recognition, including winning the Grand Prize in the Billboard® World Song Contest in the Gospel/Contemporary Christian category for my song How Your Love Changes Everything.
An ASCAP member, I stay active in several songwriting communities such as NSAI, SongTown, SongChasers, SongsAlive, and the Chicago Songwriters Collective. Whether I'm at the piano or in a writing session, I strive to honor God through my music. Whenever I play the piano and write songs, I can feel a smile on the face of God — a reminder of the joy and purpose that guide my creative journey.
I’m also a marketing professional who’s spent years helping membership and nonprofit organizations grow their communities and impact. I’ve always loved the creative side of marketing — connecting people, building relationships, and finding the right message that moves others to take action.
As the founder of MarketingforMusicians.com, I strive to build a supportive environment where career songwriters and independent artists can come together to learn and discuss what’s working today in marketing to build an audience of fans that support you and your music.
I don’t profess to be a marketing expert, but through this Website, newsletter, and community, I hope to bring information from some of the brightest minds in marketing, songwriting and the music industry that transforms the way you approach your music business.
On the music player to the left are some of the songs I’ve written.
Please note that the recordings in the music player are either AI-produced or recorded in the studio with live musicians, but none of the songwriting (melody, lyrics or music) was created by artificial intelligence.
